The track listing is a collection of our best songs from our demotapes and previously unreleased and new material. The older songs are analogue recordings (A) we did on a small Fostex 4-track. Of course, if you pay close attention you'll be able to hear the difference between the digital (D) and the analogue recordings even though we took good care of keeping an as clear and hiss-free signal as possible. As you can imagine that's easier accomplished on digital than on analogue material.

The list of songs:

KEYS:

N = New song (new recording. Never before released on demo). (1998 - 99)
3 = Original recording from the third, 3 song demotape, Going Down (1997)

2 = Original recording from the second, 8 song demotape, Brooding (1995)
1

A = Analogue 4 track recording.
D = Digital 8 track recording.

1. DN Soap Snatching Space Spiders
A song with lots of musical influences, ranging from Thrash to Melodic Punk, Ska and even with a short Reggae piece. Some people think it's confusing, though. Suffice it to say that it's no Mainstream Rock, but it's a hell of an opener.
2. DN Mad Amoeba
Fast paced fun punk song, again with some humorous lyrics. This time it's about a bacteriocidal amoeba.

3. DN Lollipopper
An educational 'pop' song about traffic. The style is a bit 80's Hard Rock. Old-fashioned but with a refreshing touch.

4. DN Xenomorph '99
Somewhat industrialized remake of a song from our first demotape (1994). The only song we thought was worth salvaging from that period. Sounds quite threatening.

5. A2 Fundamental Disorder
A fast paced Hard Rock 'n' Roll song not unlike Motörhead makes them. The lyrics criticise religious beliefs and how they are responsible for war and mayhem. This song is from a period where we thought lyrics could (or should) actually convey messages. We've become wiser now.

5b. A2 Tears
Soft instrumental song. Only clean guitars and a soft organ sound.

6. DN Alice
Yes, a metallized cover from The Sisters Of Mercy's famous hit. Check it out and be amazed (or disgusted)! Our version of the song also proves that recording technology has progressed a lot since the time of The Sisters. The version we recorded with our own portable studio actually has LESS hiss and rumble than the original version.

7. A2 + T Sesame Seed
Humorous intermezzo (1,5 minutes) and not at all representative for the rest of the CD. It's a children's song parody entirely done on a cheap Casio keyboard and with funny vocals added for good measure. Pay close attention to the ludicrous keyboardsolo (because, honestly, foob can't play keyboards) and the silly laughter in the middle. You'll either love it or hate it.

8. DN Doctor's orders
Not a song. Just the (silly) spoken intro of Beauty Parlour.

8b. D3 Beauty Parlour
A slow Thrash Metal song.

9. A2 Laryngospasm
Heavy Industrial song which we recorded once because we still hade some place left on side B of our second demotape. The song received such a good response, that we decided to include it on the CD as well.

10. D3 Our Separate Ways
Fast paced Heavy Metal.

11. A2 Kill Skill
D.R.I.-like burst of speed (1 minute in length). Speedcore, or whatever you might call it. Sounds rather intense.

12. D3 Going Down
Uptempo Rock with Wave guitar melody.

13. A1 Battering Ram
The first song we ever wrote (still with Cisse in our ranks) and recorded! We threw away almost everything from the early period, but by popular demand of just about everyone who knew us personally we decided to include this song on the CD anyway. It has about the same quality and good taste as your average porn flick, but we must agree (in retrospect) that it has certain qualities (just listen to the well thought over lyrics for one). We only cleaned up the old recording a bit. The unlucky ones who own our first demotape (which rightfully received very negative reviews) might hear the difference.

14. DN

An Early Death
Something we simply recorded (using guitars with huge delays, dark vocals and a small, very thin sounding rhythm box) without a plan or song structure in mind. Became quite an atmospheric and interesting piece all by itself. We had nothing to do with it. The Lyrics are from an old English poem.

The slow, dark gothic song Yonder, which we said earlier on this page would be on the CD as well, was later on featured on an EP instead.
