Audioslave - Audioslave : The huge symbolic sculpture is a dissonant in the landscape. The effect of the combination is surreal and strong. A very well executed photo composition (at least that's what I think it is).

Black Sabbath: Technical Ecstasy : A funny and intriguing image. Unfortunately by this time Black Sabbath's music had become less interesting than the artwork on their album sleeves.

Daemon - Eye for an Eye : Nice textures, a good image composition and good typography.

Crack the Sky - Animal Notes : A drawing that looks like it was inspired by Folon. I like it.

Steve Howe - The Steve Howe Album : Let's add a couple more of Roger Dean's album paintings to the selection. This one was for a solo album of Yes' guitarist.

Black Lab - Your Body Above Me : It looks like a linoprint but it could also be a pen drawing. Doesn't matter. It's good.

Tsunami - Tsunami : This one immediately makes you think of one of those ancient Japanese prints, and more specifically of 'The Great Wave off Kanagawa', Katsushika's Hokusai's most famous print. But the lyrical aspect in Hokusai's work is missing in this sleeve art. The waves have turned into sharp knives that are ready to slice anything they encounter to bits. Not surprisingly it was created for an 80's Hard Rock band.

Emerson, Lake & Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery : H.R. Giger Rules! Yes, this was painted by the same guy that brought us the looks of the monsters in the Aliens movies, the coolest looking space creatures ever to appear on the big screen.

Slade - Till Deaf do us Part : This is a very strong image that supports the smart album's title wonderfully well. The message isn't open for interpretation. 'Till Deaf Do Us Part' is Slade's hardest rocking album and this simple image emphasizes that in a perfect manner, without going into unnecessary bloody details.

dEUS - Pocket Revolution : Some more SF inspired art, beautifully executed.
